If you’re like me, then you’ve read about CSS Grid before and how it will change everything about how we layout websites. If you’re also like me, then you investigated it, read some of the documentation, and then walked away from CSS Grid clouded and confused.
At WordCamp in Paris last June, Morten Rand-Hendriksen gave a great presentation about how to start using CSS Grid in your WordPress theme development TODAY (errr, June 2017). After watching his video presentation I am feeling inspired to use it in my next project. He presents how to use the grid system in an approachable way that didn’t leave me feeling like it was witchcraft.
Site Builder support?
I have been using Beaver Builder to layout my designs for new client websites. Beaver Builder is the site builder with the cleanest markup and it is easy for clients to use when they want to update the content of their sites. I just sent an email over to the developers at Beaver Builder to find out if they plan to transition to the CSS Grid spec in a future version of their website builder plugin.
While I wait for an answer, please watch this video, learn how to use CSS Grid, and get inspired to use it in your next project!
